Did you win that one sale, did you celebrate your 10th anniversary or did the marketing team make a record turnover? All good reasons for a company party. But organizing one can be a daunting task. Don’t panic! We’ll help you out with 5 questions you need to ask yourself to organize an unforgettable company party.
Who is the company party for?
Of course the whole company will come. But are friends, children and supporters also invited? And have you thought about your company’s partners and customers? Ask yourself well in advance who you want to involve in the company party. Have you mapped it out? Then you can move on to the next tips.
What are you going to do?
Will you decorate the office with balloons and party decorations and invite a DJ, or will you choose to have the party externally? All good things to think about. There are advantages and disadvantages to each option. For example, the party at the office can start immediately after the working day, but you often have to deal with the mess afterwards. This is not the case at an external location, but can everyone get there easily?
And have you thought about a theme? For example, choose the theme Hawaii and have everyone come in Hawaii clothes (Dutch: Hawaii kleding), such as Hawaii blouses (Dutch: Hawaii blouse).
Does transportation need to be arranged?
Are you going to celebrate externally? Then it is a good idea to arrange transport to and from the location. Will you be taking a party bus from the office or will everyone be arranging their own taxi? Tip: Ask about a bus from an amateur football club. They are often available and can be hired out at an attractive price.
When organizing a company party, consider incorporating experiential marketing to create memorable and engaging experiences for your attendees. This approach not only enhances the overall enjoyment but also strengthens brand awareness and loyalty by providing interactive and immersive activities that resonate with your audience.
How do you invite everyone?
Are you going to throw in an agenda item or are you going to go all out with a personal written invitation? Of course, the latter will make the biggest impression, but the budget that comes with that can also be spent on tasty snacks for the evening. Think about it carefully. Ask your colleagues to let you know if they will be attending or not. That way you can organize the party for the right people.
How did the party go?
It is always good to have a short evaluation with those present after your company party. Send out a small survey a few days after the party. This will give you points that you can use the following year to make the party even more enjoyable.
